Meet Gina Hirst
As a licensed civil engineer and current City Councilmember, Gina brings expertise in planning, funding, and building strong infrastructure. She is committed to protecting Centerville’s hometown, family-friendly feel while preparing for future growth.
Priorities & Progress
I’m proud of the progress we’ve made together, and I remain committed to these priorities as Centerville continues to grow:
Fund essential services responsibly by making thoughtful, sometimes difficult choices—like adjusting fees when needed—to ensure long-term reliability of drinking water, flood protection, and other critical infrastructure
Invest in strong infrastructure by maintaining roads, utilities, and public facilities through fair funding and long-range planning
Guide smart growth by completing the General Plan update and ensuring residents have meaningful opportunities to shape development decisions
Expand recreation and amenities by adding facilities like pickleball courts and playgrounds in cost-effective ways that respond to community demand
Pursue grants and partnerships to bring in outside funding—such as the $1.5M federal grant for the water tank—that reduces the city’s share of major projects
Listening First
Gina believes in collaboration. She values community input, honors Centerville’s heritage, and makes data-driven decisions to guide the city forward. She has also fought to extend opportunities for residents to share feedback, ensuring community voices are heard.
